It is in the heart of an inspiring nature that Renata conceives her exclusive silk prints and designs her clothes and delicate embroideries, all new each season. With infinite passion, Renata elaborates colours for her new collection. Along with her colleagues, she selects fabrics to coordinate harmoniously with her outfits, in a range of warm and subtle tones. It all starts with the colour and the sensual feel of the cloth. In the end, they become a garment that embraces the body, living with it, like a second skin...

Renata's creations have endured in the fashion world for 30 years with the same feminine and contemporary grace.
The know-how of vibrant craftsmanship, Renata works with the Madeira know-how
First, comes the sketch. Drawn on tracing paper, it is the pattern for Renata's embroideries. In Renata's workshop in Madeira, Portugal, it takes four days for an embroiderer to finish the exquisite petit-point designs that adorn a single blouse. Colors and patterns are inspired from nature.
Renata's Négligée-dress or "combi" ... comes out!
Renata introduced her first négligée-dress in 1974.
Renata has always been passionate about antique lingerie, and she was the first - in 1974 - to bring the négligée out of the boudoir and to give it new life - as a delicate top, a dress for daytime or an evening gown (dress?).
A négligée-dress versatile enough to wear night and day...
In 1976, already, Renata wears this "combi" morning, afternoon and evening..."The inside comes out on top," writes a journalist...This has become the theme of Renata's "combi-dress."
Continually celebrated in the fashion press since the 1980's, the négligée-dress can be worn seductively under a sweater or jacket, as a daytime dress...Or, as an evening [dress/gown].
"She's one of the first to play with using underwear as outerwear; Renata is definitely the specialist of the delicate, little lingerie dress," writes a journalist in 1997 (Marie-Claire).

This one is very special, with its hemstitched embroidery and the set-in collar with Paris stitching. Even if no one sees it, I'm conscious of the extraordinary delicacy of the embroidery when I'm wearing it, even if I'm not all dressed up. Even if I'm jsut dressed casually, my attitude will be a little different. It's this little extra touch that makes me aware that I have on an impeccable piece of lingerie, something incredibly refined, that I wear with absolute simplicity. Still, I feel more confident because I'm very shy...Yes, that's it! I feel more self-assured.
Care instructions for Renata's silk blouses
Most of the fabrics in Renata's collection are pre-washed during the fabrication process to remove marks left by the embroidery tracing paper. Therefore, it is better to wash the blouse by hand instead of giving it to a drycleaner. We advise that you use a mild shampoo, like a baby shampoo. And, here is a little secret for you: Just add a few drops of rosewater to the water when you rinse. It will give this blouse, that feels like a second skin, a softness, something delicately mysterious and sensual. A woman feels even more intensely feminine in the comfort of this soft-finished fabric... And, it's really easy to dry the blouse: Just roll it in a Turkish towel and then lay it out flat; this way, there is hardly any need for ironing! Indeed, this silk crepe, woven exclusively for Renata by one of the last silk weavers in Lyon, has a supremely soft finish. The fabric's soft finish makes it so easy to care for, that you can wear it every day... And, it will last forever!
